Where is the Training Academy located and when does it start?

The Training Academy takes place in Disneyland® Paris at Disney's Newport Bay Club® Convention Centre. The Training Academy starts at 9:00am on Wednesday, April 18.

How do I register, and how much does it cost?

You can register for the Training Academy when you register for the Ungerboeck EMEA Conference!  Cost is €225 for half a day and €400 for a whole day. The registration fee for the training academy includes a student guide book with the slides and exercises by session.

What is the difference between the Ungerboeck EMEA Conference and the Training Academy?

The Ungerboeck EMEA Conference offers insight into new and upcoming enhancements and software best practices, as well as the business benefits of the various software features.

The Training Academy features hands-on training on how to use and configure various features within the system.

Do I need to bring my own computer to the Training Academy?

All Training Acamdey sessions are "bring your own device" sessions. There are some courses that will require attendees to provide their own database. Each course description lists the individual technology requirements. Any course description that notes "Attendee Provides Database" requires attendees to have access to their organization's test database.  

Requirements for Bring Your Own Device & Database courses
As noted in the course descriptions, you will need to bring your own laptop that is able to connect to wireless internet (provided by the conference location) and have access to your own Ungerboeck Software test database for this course.

  • Please follow the below steps in order to access your test database on the device to be used during the course. 
  • Due to the variety in devices and our clients’ environments, Ungerboeck Software cannot provide IT support before or during the course to ensure access to your test environment so be sure to test your device and database access before arriving to the course.

For attendees with databases hosted by Ungerboeck Software:

  1. Know the URL for your company’s TEST database.  This is usually in the format of https://yourcompanyname.ungerboeck.com/test but please verify before arriving for the class.  If you’d like a refresh of your test database with your current production data, enter a ticket with your regional Ungerboeck Client Care Team.
  2. Install the Web Add-In (http://software.ungerboeck.com/bridge?ver=current) on the device which will be used for the course.  Additional instructions can be found here.
  3. Install the Citrix Receiver (https://www.citrix.com/go/receiver.html) on the device which will be used for the course.  Additional instructions can be found here.
  4. Install the Office Add-In.  Instructions can be found here.  (NOTE: This is only required for the Basic Foundations of v20 course)
  5. Test to ensure you can access your v20 test site (URL from step 1) and access a v19 screen from a location outside of your network (for example, from home or your local Starbucks).
  6. Verify that the user you will be logging in with during the course has full administrative rights within the software (for example, ability to add system views and favorite).

For attendees with databases that are self-hosted:

  1. In addition to the items above, it is recommended to use Remote Desktop or LogMeIn to access your organization’s test environment.
  2. Using the device to be used during the course, test the ability to remote into your computer and access the Ungerboeck Software test environment.  If you experience any difficulties, contact your IT Team.
  3. Verify that the user you will be logging in with during the course has full administrative rights within the software (for example, ability to add system views and favorites).

Is it valuable to attend both the Ungerboeck EMEA Conference and the Training Academy?

Of course! The Ungerboeck EMEA Conference provides you the opportunity to learn how you can best use the features available in Ungerboeck Software to improve your business while the Training Academy shows you how to configure and implement those features.

What is the cancellation policty for the Training Academy?

  • Ungerboeck Software applies the following cancellation policy for the Training Academy:

    Cancellations received more than 45 days prior to the conference are fully refundable minus a €75 administrative processing charge.
    Cancellations made between 45 and 15 days prior to the start of the Training Academy will forfeit 50% of the total fees for all registered courses.
    Cancellations received less than 15 days prior to the start of the Training Academy will forfeit 100% of the total fees for all registered courses.

  • Minimum number of course attendees: 5
    Maximum number of course attendees: 15
    If the number of registrants 15 days before a class is less than 5, USI reserves the right to cancel the class. Registration fees will be fully refunded.
  • Substitutions for registrants may be made at any time.

  • Registration:

    Preregistration for the courses is necessary. You can register for the courses that best fit your needs
    Registration for courses is limited to keep the classes small and hands on.

    To attend a course: the respective modules have to be licensed by your company
